that said, this is pt 1 of idk how many ‘we need to talk about this asshole’ 

LOOK AT HIS TINY THIN LITTLE BAG. Yet, he is clearly somehow carrying his Quincy uniform in it because when we next see him:

not only has he changed his shoes (1, 2), but he’s changed his whole outfit. (clearly thinks he’s superman, poor sucker hasn’t seen the chapter cover where Ichigo’s doing the shirt ripping job)

so change of clothes + probably some books + pens etc + sewing kit because duh + whatever else mr. prepared has… even if he only has his clothes how did he fit all that in his bag how i can only deduce he is hermione granger and he has charmed his bag(s), the end.

part 2 of ‘we need to talk about this asshole’ will discuss the mind games he totally played with ichigo and rukia before this moment, this asshole
